Induction Coil

Lawalherm manufactures a full range of coil sizes and types for induction melting applications. All new coils arec uslom designed and engineered for the customer's specific prcxluction needs and application. High conductivity EC GRACE copper tubing is seleited lo maximize electrical efficiency, the melting coils are electrically insulated by a high temperature insulating coating. These coils can be engineered and specially wound so that a tri-zone heating process occurs. The lop and bottom sections will heat at a lower temperature than will the middle section. Top and bottom stainless steel dummy turn cooling coil maintain uniform temperature gradient throughoul the refractory prevent over heating. The precise design of a coil, electrically and mechanically, using software and computer simulation is the first step of manufacturing a coil. This step is important not only for coils designed in the company, but also for ones manufactured on the basis of drawings provided by the costumers. Finally, according to the simulations and the results conducted, the necessary drawings and a list of required material is being executed and sent to the production department to begin the production.
